Tala is seeking an experienced leader to provide enterprise-level portfolio diagnostics and frameworks to ensure sustainable growth across lending products in multiple international markets. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong analytics skillset and deep consumer lending experience, capable of collaborating across functions and geographies to define and build scalable policies and systems that enable efficient underwriting and product decisions.

Responsibilities

• Defines and maintains risk appetite frameworks
• Implements credit policies
• Innovates on valuation frameworks
• Leads Credit Risk Committee meetings
• Designs and implements credit performance monitoring
• Anticipates macroeconomic and competitive trends
• Conducts risk diagnostic assessments
• Identifies growth opportunities
• Partners with Product and Data Science
• Provides executive-level syntheses on risk performance

Requirements

• 10+ years experience in unsecured consumer lending
• Proven track record of developing and implementing decisioning frameworks
• Experience in creating governance structures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proactive and inquisitive approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in SQL and Python
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
