xAI is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead build efforts for their data center in Memphis, Tennessee. The role involves on-site leadership, managing relationships with contractors and stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality project delivery, safety, and operational readiness.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with contractors, partners, and stakeholders
• Oversee project execution from pre-construction to commissioning
• Coordinate multiple vendors
• Identify and mitigate risks
• Drive project progress and resolve roadblocks
• Align construction schedules with infrastructure goals
• Guide commissioning and resolve issues
• Deliver regular updates using KPIs and dashboards
• Ensure projects meet technical and quality standards
• Perform quantity take-offs and field verifications
• Manage change orders and control costs
• Lead site safety initiatives
• Adapt to evolving needs

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience managing large-scale data center or mission-critical construction projects
• Deep expertise in construction management, commissioning, and site operations
• Proven ability to lead on-site and build trust
• Experience managing large programs with multiple vendors
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to solve complex problems with adaptability
