xAI is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead the design, evaluation, and optimization of electrical systems powering their facilities. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure reliable, safe, and scalable power distribution and backup systems, while also mentoring junior staff and driving innovation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design meetings for electrical systems
• Conduct feasibility studies and develop specifications
• Oversee design and construction process
• Manage installation of critical infrastructure
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Develop and manage maintenance schedules
• Troubleshoot power issues
• Analyze and forecast power needs
• Implement energy efficiency strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Coordinate with vendors and contractors

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• PE license or eligibility preferred
• 5-8 years of relevant experience in data center operations or electrical engineering
• Strong knowledge of data center electrical systems
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, SKM, and power system analysis software
• Demonstrated experience in project management for large-scale data center projects
