xAI is seeking a Fiber Technician to install and maintain critical network infrastructure at their Memphis data center, ensuring seamless connectivity and supporting their AI mission. The role involves hands-on challenges, collaboration, and continuous learning in a high-growth tech environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage datacenter installation projects
• Ensure a safe and productive work environment
• Develop sensor indicators and conduct inspections
• Troubleshoot, resolve, repair, and install fiber optics systems
• Examine and replace fiber optic cables
• Organize scheduled maintenance routines
• Perform fiber splicing and rectify problem areas
• Track signal strength of devices
• Maintain system records and designs

Requirements

• 3+ years of data center experience with optical fiber
• High school diploma or equivalency
• Ability to lift up to 35lbs
• Comfortable working at heights (up to 50 feet)
• Comfortable working in noisy environments
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
• Subject to drug and background checks
