Job Description

The O&M Technician is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of a 1.2 GW behind-the-meter simple-cycle load following facility consisting of multiple LM6000 aeroderivative gas turbine generators, balance-of-plant systems, and associated electrical distribution. This is a multi-skilled position requiring expertise in control room operations, mechanical maintenance, electrical, instrumentation & controls, and water treatment.

Responsibilities

• Perform Control Room Operator duties
• Perform Mechanical maintenance on LM6000
• Perform Electrical maintenance
• Perform Instrumentation & Controls duties
• Perform Water Treatment & Chemistry duties
• Execute LOTO, hot work, confined-space permits
• Lead or support LM6000 outages
• Maintain critical spares inventory and CMMS records
• Mentor apprentices and contractors

Requirements

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience on LM 6000 aeroderivative turbines
• Competency in at least three of five core disciplines: Control Room Operations, Mechanical, Electrical, I&C, and Water Treatment/Chemistry
• Ability to read and interpret LM6000 P&IDs and electrical diagrams
• Strong computer skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Pass background check, drug screen, respiratory fit test, and physical
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and around high-voltage equipment
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly
