Job Description

xAI is seeking a Project Engineer to be integral to the development and realization of their cutting-edge data centers. This role involves coordinating with construction teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to meet project timelines and quality benchmarks, optimizing processes, and ensuring seamless operations for AI infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate communication between contractors, vendors, and xAI teams
• Track and manage design changes, RFIs, change orders, and milestones
• Review and optimize MOPs for risk and precision
• Onboard vendors and manage hyperscale logistics
• Maintain and enhance project data ecosystems
• Oversee delivery and integration of critical materials
• Run checklists and audits for completion, safety, and quality
• Be the daily bridge between construction crews and xAI’s goals
• Drive continuous improvement
• Liaise with engineering teams on cutting-edge infrastructure
• Own the full project lifecycle
• Facilitate approvals and stakeholder alignment
• Develop enterprise-wide tools and strategies

Requirements

• Four-year degree in a technical field or 4+ years of related construction experience
• 3+ years of experience in the construction industry or an engineering organization
• Experience updating and managing construction data
