xAI is seeking a Safety Specialist to join their Health, Safety, and Environment team at the Tulane site. The role involves ensuring a secure and compliant workplace, conducting risk assessments, implementing safety protocols, and fostering a culture of safety awareness to support the company's AI-driven scientific discovery mission.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections to identify and mitigate hazards
• Oversee safety supply inventory
• Perform sound and air quality assessments
• Provide first aid care
• Uphold and enforce safety plans and conduct training

Requirements

• OSHA 30 certification
• Proficiency in Google Suite
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends
• Physical capability to perform site inspections (walking, climbing, lifting up to 25 pounds)
