xAI is seeking an Engineering Technical Lead Manager to build full-stack solutions, integrate with complex systems, and transform business operations using AI. The role involves leading a team, contributing to product execution, and collaborating with customers to deliver robust and reliable AI-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

• People management
• Designing and implementing scalable distributed systems
• Maintaining service observability and reliability
• Operating databases (PostgreSQL, Clickhouse, CockroachDB)
• Shipping high-quality code
• Adapting to changing requirements
• Interfacing with customers
• Designing and maintaining AI-driven solutions

Requirements

• 4-12 years of software engineering experience (1+ year management)
• Expertise in Rust or C++
• Full-stack background with product architecture understanding
• AI/ML product implementation experience (APIs, back-end, front-end)
• Expertise in prompt engineering
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript
• Strong communication skills
• Understanding of HTTP protocol
• Strong engineering background (Computer Science, Mathematics, etc.)
