xAI is seeking a Core Network Engineering Team Lead to develop and execute the team’s roadmap for data center network fabrics, mentor a team of engineers, and contribute to the design and optimization of network infrastructure to support the training and serving of Grok.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the team’s roadmap
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers
• Contribute to network infrastructure design and optimization
• Write Python scripts for automation
• Partner with cross-functional teams
• Hire and develop talent
• Prioritize team efforts

Requirements

• 3+ years as a technical lead in AI networking
• 8+ years of experience in hyperscale network environments
• Proficiency in Python scripting
• 3+ years of experience with RoCEv2 and/or InfiniBand
• Proven ability to deliver highly available networks
• Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers
