Job Description

xAI is seeking a Core Network Engineering Team Lead to develop and execute the roadmap for their global backbone infrastructure, ensuring high performance and reliability for AI training and customer queries. The role involves team leadership, hands-on network development, and talent acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and operate global backbone infrastructure
• Partner with internal teams to gather requirements
• Automate mitigations and tasks using Python and Ansible
• Manage and troubleshoot cloud VPCs and network hardware
• Optimize network performance through traffic engineering
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance infrastructure efficiency

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with backbone network hardware and protocols (MPLS, RSVP-TE)
• 5+ years of routing experience with BGP and IS-IS
• 3+ years of Python scripting experience
• 3+ years of experience managing cloud VPCs
• Experience with Juniper, Cisco, and Arista hardware is preferred
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, and OCI cloud environments is preferred
