xAI is seeking a Product Engineer to lead the development of high-performance Electron-based desktop apps, focusing on bringing AI experiences from the web to desktop platforms (Windows, macOS, and Linux). The ideal candidate will have expertise in desktop app architecture, capabilities, and UX patterns, with a strong emphasis on optimizing for performance and integrating native features.

Responsibilities

• Convert xAI’s web platform into an Electron framework
• Build and maintain modular Electron architectures
• Collaborate with product and model training teams
• Test and debug across platforms

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience building Electron-based applications
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and modern web frameworks
• Familiarity with Electron Forge or Electron Builder
• Experience with cross-platform packaging and native modules
• Proven track record of optimizing applications for performance and security
