xAI is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer specializing in Cybersecurity to ensure the security and reliability of the X Money platform, with some crossover to X Social. The role focuses on large distributed systems, security platforms, and an automation-first approach within a challenging and curious engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and secure applications in a hybrid cloud
• Manage identities and roles
• Monitor and remediate infrastructure for compliance
• Maintain SIEM and data pipelines
• Design secure container standards and automation
• Maintain Kubernetes security
• Build/deploy security infrastructure using Python, Terraform, and Puppet
• Secure CI/CD pipelines
• Integrate code scanning platforms
• Develop security dashboards and alerts
• Own and implement security projects
• Apply critical analysis and problem-solving

Requirements

• Experience securing hybrid AWS/on-premises environments
• Proficiency in Python, Terraform, and Puppet
• Kubernetes and container security expertise
• Experience with GitHub Actions
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and Karma
• Experience with Wazuh
• Experience with security scanning tools (Semgrep, Trivy, Falco)
• Proactive mindset and problem-solving skills
• Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities
• SF Bay Area location or willingness to relocate
