xAI is seeking a multimodal engineer to drive the development of real-time video and multimodal world models, focusing on data, modeling, training, serving, and product development. The role involves advancing real-time world simulation capabilities and collaborating with product teams to enhance model performance and user experience.

Responsibilities

• Advance real-time world simulation capabilities
• Improve data quality and develop data filtering/generation techniques
• Create evaluation frameworks and internal benchmarks
• Design and implement algorithms for state-of-the-art model performance

Requirements

• Track record in improving neural network capability and performance
• Experience in data-driven experiment designs and iterative model debugging
• Experience in large-scale distributed machine learning systems
• Experience in graphics engines and rendering techniques is a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in Python, Jax, and Rust
