The Director - Mechanical Engineering will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of highly skilled Base Station Antenna Mechanical Engineering staff while ensuring that company objectives and goals are met. JMA is focused on restoring U.S. leadership in wireless technology and is a fast-growing technology company in the 5G space.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate antenna mechanical engineering functions
• Facilitate communication between customers and engineers
• Serve as a project manager
• Review work for technical accuracy
• Prepare documentation and suggest corrections
• Recruit and train engineering staff
• Develop Team Leads
• Establish administrative policies
• Prepare and execute departmental budget
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Mechanical engineering or related field
• 5+ years of design experience
• 5+ years of team management experience (10+ engineers/drafters)
• Understanding of Mechanical Engineering theory
• Solid understanding of Injection molding, sheet metal, and material science
• Design knowledge in Macro base station, small cell, and inbuilding antenna products
• Understanding of Vibration, thermal management, and wind load analysis
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, ANSYS, Icepack, and PRO-E
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills
