Semgrep is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build user-facing security tools. This role involves designing, implementing, and deploying major product initiatives, collaborating with various teams, and mentoring junior developers to enhance code security and developer experience.

Responsibilities

• Work on product initiatives end-to-end
• Set technical and product direction
• Learn from users and build products to keep them secure
• Develop intuitive APIs
• Ensure high-availability operation of services
• Advise and mentor other engineers

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience writing production software and building web applications
• Experience with Python, React (TypeScript), and Postgres
• Excitement about building for customers
• Excellent communication skills
