Job Description

The Engineering Manager for the Infrastructure team will lead engineers responsible for maintaining the speed, reliability, and scalability of Apollo’s systems as they serve millions of users and process billions of data points. This role involves working at the intersection of platform engineering, SRE, observability, and developer productivity to support the company’s AI-native evolution and rapid growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a distributed team of Infrastructure Engineers
• Partner with senior engineering leadership on strategic initiatives
• Define and implement modern operational excellence practices
• Guide technical decision-making across key areas
• Collaborate with AI, Data, and Product Engineering teams
• Run effective 1:1s and performance reviews
• Support recruiting efforts

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on software or infrastructure engineering experience
• 2+ years of experience leading teams of senior engineers
• Proven ability to design and operate large-scale distributed systems in cloud environments
• Expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ubuntu, and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with observability tools
• Strong grounding in networking, security, and reliability principles
• Experience managing infrastructure costs and availability SLAs
