Apollo.io is seeking a Staff AI Engineer to build and productionize advanced AI systems powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) and intelligent agents. This role focuses on critical capabilities like the AI Assistant, Autonomous AI Agents, and AI Power Automation, impacting millions of users' productivity by leveraging Apollo's data and cutting-edge AI to personalize experiences and automate the customer journey.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy production LLM systems
• Create sophisticated AI agents
• Develop and optimize prompting strategies
• Build robust APIs and integrate AI capabilities
• Implement evaluation frameworks and A/B testing
• Optimize for cost, latency, and scalability
• Collaborate with product teams and stakeholders

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• 1.5+ years of hands-on LLM experience
• Experience building scalable LLM-powered products
• Experience building multi-step AI agents
• Deep understanding of prompting strategies
• Expert-level Python skills
• Strong backend engineering experience
• Experience with LangChain or similar frameworks
• Production deployment experience (AWS, GCP, Azure)
