Job Description

Life360 is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to drive technical capabilities within the Core Maps Experience team, focusing on owning the mapping layer for the Life360 application. This role involves building and iterating on a unified maps framework, collaborating with product and design teams, and defining the future direction of mapping functionality to enhance user experience and improve mobile engineering effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Build and iterate on the unified maps framework
• Drive adoption of the framework with internal teams
• Partner with product and design for mapping experiences
• Define technology direction with architecture groups
• Improve mobile engineering team velocity
• Define and guide best practices within mobile code bases

Requirements

• 6+ years of development experience
• 2+ years of mobile map experience
• Deep understanding of the map ecosystem
• Strong collaboration and technical design skills
• Ability to rapidly iterate and innovate
• Experience with visual and motion designers
• Experience at high-scale, B2C companies
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
