Job Description

Life360 is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to architect the intelligence layer behind its location-based platform. This hands-on role involves designing and leading end-to-end ML systems to enhance understanding of movement and context, collaborating with data science and engineering teams, and championing operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead end-to-end ML systems
• Partner with Data Science
• Build and maintain ML pipelines
• Integrate ML into user-facing features
• Champion operational excellence
• Contribute to architectural strategy
• Mentor and elevate the ML and engineering craft

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and shipping ML-powered systems
• Proficiency in Python & SQL
• Knowledge of supervised, unsupervised, deep learning methods
• Experience with big data tools (Spark, Hadoop)
• ML Ops & Deployment experience
• System Design & Scalability experience
• Experimentation & Evaluation experience
• Cloud & Infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Collaboration & Communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field
