Job Description

Life360 is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join their newly formed AI Growth Enablement team. This role focuses on building shared AI/ML capabilities to drive growth in users, subscribers, and revenue through experimentation, automation, and predictive modeling. The engineer will collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Engineering teams to deliver impactful AI-powered experiences at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy ML models for personalization, experimentation, and automation
• Build, productionize, and maintain real-time model APIs
• Integrate model outputs into user-facing features
• Develop self-serve ML infrastructure
• Design and implement feature pipelines and model training workflows
• Monitor and maintain model health and performance
• Mentor other developers
• Build technical specs
• Handle on-call rotation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 8+ years of experience building and shipping ML-powered systems
• Proficiency in Python or Java, model development libraries, SQL, and ML Ops tools
• Experience with serving ML models behind scalable APIs
• Experience with data pipelines
• Knowledge of experiment design and A/B testing
• Familiarity with microservices, containerization, and deployment pipelines
• Cross-functional collaboration skills
