Job Description

Waabi is seeking a Senior Policy and Public Affairs Manager to support the company’s mission in Texas and across the Sun Belt. The role involves engaging with state and local officials, influencing legislation, building relationships, and leading regulatory projects to expand public trust and understanding of Waabi’s self-driving technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement with lawmakers and stakeholders in the southern US
• Track and influence relevant legislation and regulations
• Build relationships with local officials
• Serve as a public voice for Waabi
• Collaborate with AV developers and industry stakeholders
• Build trust in Waabi’s technology
• Address issues facing the autonomous vehicle industry

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in government relations, public policy, or public affairs
• Degree in political science, sociology, economics, or related field
• Experience in transportation and/or advanced technology issues
• Ability to analyze policy problems and build relationships
• Track record of analyzing legislation and executing policy programming
• Strong relationships across the Texas political landscape
• Passion for self-driving technologies
