Job Description

Waabi is seeking a Senior Sensor Engineer to focus on the selection, evaluation, integration, and characterization of radar and/or lidar sensors for their self-driving technology. The role involves collaboration with suppliers, cross-organizational teams, and hands-on work with sensors in the San Francisco office.

Responsibilities

• Select and evaluate sensors
• Collaborate with suppliers
• Manage sensor integration and configuration
• Characterize and evaluate sensor performance
• Ensure successful sensor integration
• Build test assets
• Conduct field testing and data analysis
• Provide support for other sensor modalities
• Collaborate on team tooling

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master in related field
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Lidar and/or Radar
• Experience with automotive sensors
• Proficiency in sensor data acquisition and analysis
• Experience with signal processing and machine learning
• Proficiency in Python
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
