Job Description

Waabi is seeking a Vehicle Operations Lead to manage, mentor, and develop a team of Vehicle Operators. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and championing a strong safety culture for their growing self-driving technology fleet.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a team of Vehicle Operators
• Define workflows and hand-off procedures for Shift Supervisors
• Manage shift schedules and workforce utilization
• Align operator availability with mission volume
• Oversee daily deployment of Vehicle Operators
• Manage operational logistics including fuel and DEF inventory
• Enforce FMCSA and internal compliance
• Maintain operational records
• Champion Waabi’s Safety Culture

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in fleet operations, logistics, or transportation management
• 2+ years of direct people management experience managing CDL operators
• Active CDL (Class A) preferred
• Knowledge of transportation regulations (DOT, FMCSA)
• Experience in a technical or testing environment
• Ability to work flexible shifts
• Proficiency with fleet management software
