Waabi is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to join the Onboard Sensors Team, responsible for integrating, fielding, and productionizing sensor systems for their robot trucks. The role involves working with live vehicles, solving integration issues, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to build a reliable AV platform.

Responsibilities

• Shape the Waabi sensors platform
• Solve sensor integration issues
• Deploy and debug software on vehicles
• Integrate new sensors
• Collaborate with development teams
• Work with operations teams to resolve issues

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience with fielded sensor systems
• Collaboration skills
• Proficiency in C/C++ or Rust
• Experience leading engineering efforts
• Linux debugging experience
• Understanding of time-coordinated systems
• Passion for self-driving technologies
• Basic electronics experience
