Job Description

Waabi is seeking a Systems Engineer to own the creation, documentation, and verification of behavioral system requirements for self-driving technology. The role involves collaborating with various teams, improving simulation capabilities, and enhancing behavioral evaluation processes to ensure safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Create and document behavioral system requirements
• Act as a central point of contact for behavioral requirements
• Drive safety culture through safety standards
• Define improvements for the simulator
• Evaluate and enhance behavioral evaluation capabilities
• Implement tools to streamline requirement processes
• Work with external partners for data gathering

Requirements

• Undergrad required, Masters or PhD preferred in engineering
• 3+ years of experience in automotive, robotics, or related industry
• Experience with driving behavior evaluation metrics
• Experience building driving behavior scenarios
• Experience with STPA, SOTIF, and/or UL 4600
• Strong fundamentals in mathematics, engineering, and physics
• Excellent communication and data analysis skills (Python or Matlab)
