Job Description

Varo is seeking a Senior Manager of Disputes to transform their Disputes function, improve customer experience, drive operational efficiencies, mitigate losses, and ensure regulatory compliance. This role involves overseeing domestic employees and offshore teams, establishing dispute processes, maintaining a control environment, and collaborating with various teams to enhance the customer experience and minimize losses.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Dispute Operations
  • Establish and refine dispute processes
  • Maintain a robust control environment
  • Partner with Fraud team for loss mitigation
  • Act as primary escalation point
  • Drive transformational and tactical improvements
  • Lead readiness efforts for new products

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in fraud/disputes with 4+ years in dispute/chargebacks
  • Experience managing employees and off-shore operations
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge of Dispute regulations (Regulation E, Regulation Z, NACHA, Visa)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with dispute management platforms
  • Six Sigma or Lean certifications preferred
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and fraud trends
