Job Description

Kraken is seeking a Lead for Regulation and Markets in North America to drive client success and shape policy. This role involves building relationships with regulators, client teams, and advocacy partners to facilitate the licensing and implementation of Kraken's technology within regulated North American utilities.

Responsibilities

• Advise on North American policy and regulatory activity
• Gather and interpret market and regulatory intelligence
• Create written communications for stakeholders
• Navigate and track regulatory filings
• Build relationships with external audiences
• Engage in commercial negotiations
• Cultivate relationships with industry leaders
• Contribute to thought leadership activities
• Perform detailed analysis of regulatory matters
• Work with partners and clients to advance adoption
• Provide ongoing regulatory support to clients
• Guide regional prioritization of resources

Requirements

• 4-6 years of relevant experience in utility, commission, or utility software
• Strong grasp of US utility policy and regulations
• Aptitude for detailed analysis of energy and utility regulatory matters
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience working with consultants, lobbyists, and trade groups
• Comfort in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree required, Master’s preferred
