Job Description

Reserv is seeking a skilled BI-LIT Claims Examiner to manage litigated files and attend trials, conferences, mediations, and arbitrations. The role involves investigating claims, evaluating liability and damages, negotiating settlements, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage legal aspects of litigated cases
• Analyze and review auto insurance claims
• Negotiate and settle claims
• Attend mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings
• Collaborate with defense counsel and claims management
• Review legal documents and ensure compliance
• Serve as corporate representative for discovery and depositions
• Analyze policy language and make coverage decisions
• Direct and control vendor activities and costs
• Maintain adjuster licenses

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 10+ years claim handling experience with 5+ in litigation
• Transportation litigation experience preferred
• Strong medical knowledge
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of state statutes
• Active adjuster license(s)
• Attention to detail and time management
• Ability to work independently
• Problem-solving skills
• Desire for continuous professional development
