2K is seeking a Sr. Applied Scientist to contribute to the innovation behind NBA 2K. This role involves building and deploying machine learning models to improve gameplay, player engagement, matchmaking, and the in-game economy, collaborating with various teams to deliver AI-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

• Research, build, and deploy machine learning models
• Work on matchmaking, ranking, personalization, and in-game economy
• Collaborate with game development, LiveOps, and engineers
• Lead technical discussions and advocate for best practices
• Stay informed on state-of-the-art techniques

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field
• 4+ years of experience in applied science or machine learning
• Strong background in machine learning and statistical modeling
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with ML frameworks like scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow
• Ability to own projects end-to-end
• Excellent communication skills
