Job Description

The Banking and Payments Operations Senior Manager will oversee all operational aspects of banking and payments functions within the Money Consumer Platform. This role focuses on ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation across banking, money movement, and payment products, working cross-functionally with various teams to develop scalable processes and maintain operational integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Design and improve processes for deposits, payments, and fund movement
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, risk controls, and workflow documentation
  • Drive automation in transaction monitoring and reconciliation
  • Establish roles, accountability, and performance standards
  • Lead and mentor team members in transaction processing
  • Oversee vendor relationships
  • Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations
  • Identify emerging regulatory changes
  • Lead internal reviews and audits
  • Monitor operational risks and drive mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with audit teams on key metrics
  • Implement continuous improvement programs
  • Promote automation and system integration
  • Build and lead a team of subject matter experts
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in financial services operations
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in banking/payments
  • Deep understanding of banking regulations and payments networks
  • Proven ability to design scalable operational frameworks
  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to ethical conduct and risk awareness
  • Ability to manage and lead a team
  • Proficiency in data analysis
  • Exceptional communication skills
