Job Description

Magic Labs is seeking a Senior Protocol Engineer to build the core protocol, developing smart contracts (Solidity) and contributing to operators (Rust). This role involves solving challenging implementation problems at crypto-scale and collaborating with product and design teams to implement new features.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement protocol features end-to-end
• Build, optimize, and scale services and contracts
• Work closely with product and security teams
• Lead and collaborate with other engineers, drive code reviews, and set best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years as a Full‑Stack Engineer with focus on Protocol (Rust) and EVM (Solidity)
• Proven track record building high-traffic, low-latency systems
• Strong proficiency with blockchain fundamentals and core EIPs
• Strong system design skills for efficiency and scalability
• Experience building blockchain protocols
• Strong understanding of security best practices
• Excellent communication and autonomous execution
