Job Description

Lumos is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to drive the evolution of their data infrastructure, building a robust and scalable data platform to power their applications, analytics, and AI initiatives. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing software solutions that integrate with the data platform, scaling the OLTP layer, and promoting software engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement software solutions integrating with the data platform
• Contribute to the technical vision for a world-class data infrastructure
• Own and execute strategy for scaling the OLTP layer (MySQL)
• Promote and implement software engineering best practices for data-centric applications

Requirements

• Proven experience in software engineering delivering complex projects
• Proven experience scaling data heavy applications and administering production database clusters
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and database concepts
• Experience designing solutions interacting with data systems
• Knowledge of modern data stack technologies (Snowflake, Delta Lake, Dagster, Airflow, AWS, GCP, or Azure)
