Job Description

The NYISO is seeking a full-time Director, Enterprise Security & Chief Information Security Officer to lead the design, implementation, and operations of their physical and cyber security programs. This role ensures the protection of NYISO assets, operations, and employees, encompassing risk management, incident response, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop cyber and physical security strategy
• Direct operational security functions including 24/7 SOC oversight
• Cultivate intelligence from partners
• Lead technical security infrastructure development
• Oversee security governance, risk & compliance programs
• Manage physical security program
• Implement security awareness & training
• Facilitate risk analysis with business units
• Manage security team
• Provide security briefings to leadership
• Oversee security budgeting and vendor management
• Establish security reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management, or related field
• Master’s Degree preferred
• 15+ years of progressive IT management experience
• Deep understanding of technical security concepts
• Experience leading cross-functional teams
• Project management and budgeting skills
• Experience in the energy sector preferred
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• Professional cybersecurity certification (CPP, CISSP, CISM, CISA) a plus
