Job Description

The NYISO is seeking a full-time Project Manager to lead and coordinate projects, ensuring successful results. This role involves directing team members, managing schedules and budgets, interacting with stakeholders, and providing project management services to a specific product group. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong requirement elicitation and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage project activities using project management principles
• Develop and execute project plans
• Manage RFP/RFI processes and vendor selection
• Manage vendor budget and relationships
• Identify and manage project risks
• Present recommendations for decision making
• Review project progress and provide status reporting
• Develop project resource plans and cost estimates
• Maintain communication with stakeholders
• Recommend process improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Information Technology or related field
• Five years of project management experience
• Demonstrated success in vendor selection, project planning, risk management, and budgeting
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies is desirable
• PMP certification is desirable
• Knowledge of electric power systems or wholesale electric markets is a plus
