Job Description

The NYISO is seeking a full-time Project Manager to lead and coordinate projects, ensuring successful results through effective project management principles, stakeholder interaction, and budget oversight. The role involves managing vendor relationships, risk assessment, and providing regular project status updates.

Responsibilities

• Manage project activities using project management principles
• Develop and execute project plans
• Manage RFP/RFI processes and vendor selection
• Manage vendor budget and relationships
• Identify and manage project risks
• Present recommendations for decision making
• Review project progress and provide status reporting
• Develop project resource plans and cost estimates
• Maintain communication with stakeholders
• Participate in Project Management Working Group meetings
• Support NYISO strategic objectives

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Information Technology or related field
• 5+ years of project management experience
• Experience with vendor selection (RFP/RFI)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Knowledge of software development life cycle methodology
• Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies is desirable
• PMP certification is desirable
• Knowledge of electric power systems is a plus
