Job Description

The Research Engagement Program Lead is responsible for coordinating and overseeing NYISO’s research and university engagement efforts. This role involves developing reports, maintaining industry knowledge, coordinating academic engagement, and preparing communications for the Board of Directors to support informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Conduct industry scans for emerging trends
• Develop authoritative reports and analyze market impacts
• Conduct research and collect data
• Lead engagement with academic and research institutions
• Drive cross-functional collaboration
• Deliver updates to Senior Leadership
• Coordinate department messaging
• Lead development of strategic materials
• Maintain research paper repository

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Electrical Engineering, Economics, Communications or related field; Master’s degree preferred
• Seven years of progressively responsible related experience
• Knowledge of electric power utility industry and/or competitive markets
• Complex project management skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret technical and financial documents
• Ability to present information to management and public groups
• Competency in MS Office applications
