Job Description

MERIT is seeking a Director of Community and VIP to own talent and content programs, drive brand awareness, and manage relationships with celebrities, influencers, and the community. This role involves developing EMV benchmarks, leading negotiations, and building out a makeup artist program.

Responsibilities

  • Own MERIT’s talent and content programs
  • Develop EMV benchmarks and KPIs
  • Lead negotiations with celebrity talent agencies
  • Manage community gifting strategy
  • Build out MUA program
  • Ideate and manage content series
  • Develop strategies for new platforms
  • Manage relationships with VIP events
  • Collaborate with Influencer and Social Content teams
  • Partner with PR on campaigns

Requirements

  • 6-7+ years of experience in community and brand marketing
  • 2-3+ years in people management
  • Record of negotiating celebrity/influencer contracts
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Analytical capabilities
  • Ability to build relationships
  • Passion for beauty and storytelling
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Based in Los Angeles or New York with in-office work requirement
