MERIT is seeking a Manager, Packaging Development to lead packaging innovation across beauty categories. The role involves translating brand identity into tangible packaging experiences, managing vendors, ensuring quality, and championing sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage packaging conceptualization, development, and execution
• Collaborate with internal teams on packaging designs
• Manage outside packaging vendors
• Attend line trials and final production
• Improve components and products based on feedback
• Understand component functionality
• Participate in the entire packaging design process
• Champion sustainability initiatives
• Stay informed of industry trends

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in packaging design or related fields
• Bachelor's degree in packaging engineering or related field
• Strong aesthetic sensibility
• Proven track record of leading packaging projects
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience in sustainability-focused initiatives
• Self-motivated
• High attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and stay organized
