Job Description

The External Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager will oversee external financial reporting, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations. This role involves leading the development and implementation of accounting policies, participating in the full-cycle close process, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. It's a hybrid position reporting to the Controller.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of SEC filings (Form 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K)
• Prepare external financial statements
• Prepare disclosure checklists and XBRL tagging
• Participate in month-end/quarter-end close
• Execute responsibilities in compliance with SOX 404
• Document and maintain internal controls
• Research technical accounting issues
• Assess impact of accounting pronouncements
• Prepare technical accounting memos
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• CPA qualification
• Strong knowledge of SEC and US GAAP
• Experience preparing SEC reports and XBRL tagging
• 7+ years of accounting experience, 3+ in Big 4
• Knowledge of ASC 842, 718, 230, 280, 260, and 606
• Proficiency in NetSuite and Excel
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Experience in a public company with SOX compliance
