Job Description

BillionToOne is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to integrate security practices into their DevOps pipeline and manage secure, scalable solutions on AWS. The role involves automating security controls, monitoring vulnerabilities, and ensuring compliance across the software development lifecycle, collaborating with development, operations, and security teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, Route 53)
• Automate provisioning with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
• Secure CI/CD pipelines
• Integrate security into the SDLC
• Develop monitoring dashboards and alerts (DataDog, AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail)
• Support user account management and system monitoring
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams
• Assist with incident response
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations (HIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR, PCI DSS, CLIA, CAP)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 6–10 years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps
• AWS cloud services expertise
• Proficiency with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, Go)
• Experience with version control (Git, Bitbucket)
• Solid background in Linux/Windows administration, networking, databases
• Understanding of security protocols
• Problem-solving and communication abilities
