Job Description

BillionToOne is seeking a Clinical Genomics Scientist, Oncology to drive somatic mutation variant interpretation and reporting for their Northstar Select™ and Northstar Response™ cancer diagnostics. The role involves variant interpretation, report drafting, policy development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Somatic variant interpretation and data review
• Clinical report drafting
• Somatic mutation interpretation and reporting policy development
• Content curation
• Molecular tumor board participation
• Contribution to oncology R&D

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Human Genetics, M.S. in Genetic Counseling, or related field
• 2+ years of somatic variant interpretation experience
• Experience with human mutation databases (COSMIC, ClinVar, OncoKB)
• Familiarity with IGV and BAM file analysis
• Knowledge of cancer somatic mutation and signaling pathways
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
