Energy Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Software Product Owner to lead the development and implementation of their key software ecosystem. This role involves translating complex technical ideas into business language, driving priorities, and providing strategic direction for software products, as well as mentoring other product owners and business systems analysts.

Responsibilities

• Lead assessment of product opportunities and risks
• Lead Agile process implementation and improvement
• Manage complex backlog
• Lead product design and prepare functional specifications
• Translate customer needs into actionable plans
• Establish and maintain product roadmaps
• Meet with business stakeholders
• Own and refine user stories and epics in Jira
• Monitor software development progress
• Communicate status and results
• Lead efforts to define product metrics
• Coach other product owners and business systems analysts

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 10+ years as a product owner
• 10+ years working with software developers
• Leadership experience managing teams of 3-5
• Good technical analyst skills
• Proven experience in data focused product development
• Strong communication skills
• Public facing software delivery experience (plus)
