Job Description

DexCare is seeking a Manager of Data Engineering to lead a team in building scalable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines and infrastructure. This role involves strategic leadership and hands-on technical execution within a regulated healthcare environment, partnering with cross-functional teams to support both internal analytics and external product capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and manage a data engineering team
• Define and execute the data engineering roadmap
• Architect scalable data pipelines
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams
• Own the end-to-end data lifecycle
• Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance
• Manage third-party data vendor relationships
• Drive adoption of modern data engineering practices
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of data engineering experience, with 2+ years in leadership
• Experience designing and managing large-scale data pipelines
• Expertise in Spark, Flink, dbt, and orchestration tools
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, SQL, and NoSQL databases
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), Databricks, and data warehouses
• Familiarity with visualization tools
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control
• Strong architectural skills
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
