Job Description

Drivemode is seeking a Senior Product Designer to define user interactions with new electric vehicles. The role involves all stages of the design process, from research and prototyping to launching experiences with Honda's hardware. The initial focus will be on a companion app for Honda and Acura EVs, expanding to interior digital components and the overall driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product management, engineering, and business development
• Wireframe, prototype, and design product features using data and testing
• Act as a thought leader with Honda management
• Maintain high design standards and provide critique
• Provide leadership and mentor designers
• Recruit and mentor new designers
• Test new ideas and push boundaries
• Drive company vehicles for product development and testing

Requirements

• 6+ years of product design experience, mobile applications and complex software
• Effective leadership and mentoring skills
• Bachelor’s degree in design related field; master’s preferred
• Strong interaction design skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to maintain design standards in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced prototyping skills
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design passion
