Job Description

Drivemode, a division of Honda, is seeking a Backend Engineer to develop and deliver cloud infrastructure supporting drivers with features like navigation and authentication. The role involves collaboration with senior engineers, project managers, and external teams, requiring strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to tackle challenges beyond typical backend development.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend service solutions and cloud infrastructure
• Collaborate with engineers, developers, and architects
• Troubleshoot production issues and release hot fixes
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline infrastructure
• Drive company vehicles for product development and testing

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with statically-typed languages (Java/Kotlin/Scala, C/C++, or Rust)
• Experience shipping performant API integrations
• Experience with a major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
• Flexible attitude and entrepreneurial mindset
• Willingness to learn new technologies and tackle diverse challenges
