TrueML is seeking a Staff Engineer to develop and extend their payments platform infrastructure, ensuring safe, secure, and consistent financial transactions. The role involves leading architectural design, mentoring engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and staying current with emerging technologies to provide innovative payment solutions for customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and development
• Define technical strategy and roadmap
• Tackle complex technical challenges
• Mentor and guide engineers
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams
• Champion best practices for software development
• Resolve technical issues and production incidents
• Evaluate emerging technologies

• Participate in on-call rotation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• Expert proficiency in Java, Python, Go, C++, or Rust
• Deep understanding of system design and microservices
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proven ability to lead large-scale projects
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience mentoring engineers
• Ability to work independently and in a team
