Job Description

Cohere Health is seeking a physician with Cardiology and Vascular expertise to review clinical information and determine the medical appropriateness of services using evidence-based guidelines. This role is critical for a rapidly scaling company focused on impacting millions of patients and requires someone who can learn quickly, handle ambiguity, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical decision guidelines and evidence-based literature
• Provide expert input on programs to improve cardiovascular care
• Provide timely medical reviews
• Provide clinical determinations based on evidence-based criteria
• Document communication and decision-making
• Conduct peer-to-peer discussions with providers
• Maintain professionalism and accountability
• Support team projects and operational improvements

Requirements

• U.S.-based residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiology
• Board certification (MD or DO) with active, unrestricted state medical license
• 5+ years of clinical practice beyond residency/fellowship
• 1+ years of managed care utilization review experience preferred
• Membership in national/regional specialty societies
• Licensure in FL, MN, ND, or TX preferred
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and technology skills
• Understanding of managed care regulatory structure
