Cohere Health is seeking physicians with Wound Care expertise to review clinical information and determine the medical appropriateness of services using evidence-based guidelines. This role is part of a rapidly scaling team focused on impacting millions of patients and requires adaptability, strong communication skills, and a commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely medical reviews
• Apply evidence-based criteria for clinical determinations
• Document communication and decisions accurately
• Utilize correct templates for case review
• Meet turnaround times for clinical reviews
• Conduct peer-to-peer discussions with providers
• Maintain professionalism and accountability
• Support team projects and operational improvements

Requirements

• US-based residency in General Surgery, Surgical Subspecialties, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine OR US-based Podiatry residency
• Board certification (MD or DO/DPM) with unrestricted state license
• 3+ years of Wound Care Management experience
• 5+ years of clinical practice beyond residency/fellowship
• Managed care utilization review experience (1+ year preferred)
• Membership in specialty societies (preferred)
• Licensure in MN, ND, or TX (highly desirable)
