Job Description

Cohere Health is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to drive strategic data science initiatives focused on preventing and identifying healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse. This role involves in-depth analysis of healthcare data, identifying trends, and presenting findings to leadership to improve payer-provider collaboration and healthcare economics.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic data science initiatives for fraud prevention
• Serve as a subject matter expert on claim and authorization outliers
• Lead in-depth analyses of healthcare data
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations
• Present findings and recommendations to leadership

Requirements

• MSc or higher in data science/analytics or related field
• 7+ years of hands-on data science experience in healthcare
• Strong communication skills
• Expertise in healthcare insurance data mining
• Knowledge of FWA investigations and CMS policies
• Proficiency in modeling and data analysis methods
• Experience with Python, PySpark, Scala, or Spark SQL
