Job Description

Cohere Health is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and deliver large-scale, reliable, and governed data pipelines powering analytics, operations, and clinical intelligence. The role involves leading design, mentoring engineers, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with stakeholders to build performant and trustworthy data products.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of data pipelines
• Mentor junior engineers
• Implement data quality and schema validation
• Contribute to architecture discussions
• Write clean, testable code in Python and SQL
• Optimize and monitor production workflows
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
• Participate in on-call rotations
• Champion a culture of excellence

Requirements

• 5+ years of data engineering or software development experience
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with Airflow, dbt, AWS, Iceberg, Parquet, and Kafka
• Experience designing and delivering large-scale data infrastructure
• Track record of building production grade systems using APIs
• Mentoring experience
• Agile environment experience
• Healthcare data experience preferred
• Understanding of data security and compliance
